UBL (Universal Business Language) is a standard format for electronic business operations, e.g. for the preparation of invoices or purchase orders, developed by OASIS. UBL makes use of the XML or JSON format. Both the Dutch and Belgian governments have chosen UBL 2.0 as the standard XML format for E-Invoicing.
